Why do headlights yellow? |

From
the factory most headlights are coated with an acrylic based
coating. Unfortunately, acrylic is a plastic and cannot handle the
heat, UV exposure or chemicals commonly associated with an
automobile. The acrylic coating over time degrades and allows the
suns UV rays to penetrate into the polycarbonate (plastic) headlight
lens degrading the headlight lens even further. |

What is TL3000? |

|
TL3000 is a specialized ceramic based coating taken from the
aerospace and automotive racing industry. It contains UVA and UVB
blocking agents to prevent degradation of the headlight lens. It
also has outstanding chemical resistance and non stick properties. |

How is TL3000 applied? |
| |
|
TL3000 is applied by saturating the lint free cloth included with
the kit and then simply wiping it on the headlight lens. Because
TL3000 is a thin film coating it applies very easy and does not
require multiple coats, buffing or waxing. |

| 4) |
How long does it take for TL3000
to dry? |
| |
|
TL3000 air dries in about one hour. It is cured in 24 hours and
fully resistant to chemicals in 7 days. Your headlights should not
get wet for 24 hours. |

How long will it take to restore
a set of headlights? |
| |
|
It
typically takes about 30 minutes to restore a set of headlights.
This can be a little more or less depending on the size and
complexity of the headlights. |

How many steps are involved in
restoring a set of headlights? |

Headlight Restore is a 4 step process:

1) Prep - Cleaning
and taping off the surrounding areas |
| |
2) Removal of
yellowing/oxidation - This involves sanding the
headlight lens with 3 different abrasives |
| |
3) Polish -
Polish the headlight lens to optimum clarity
|
| |
4) TL3000
- Cleaning of the headlight lens and application
of TL3000 |
|

What tools do you need? |
| |
|
Everything that you need is included in the kit except a cordless
drill. You may also use a corded drill but we recommend a cordless
drill. |

What is included in the kit? |
| |
|
TL3000 UV coating, HP3000 headlight polish, abrasives, interface
pad, polishing pad, backing plate, microfiber towels, lint free
towel and gloves |
